OK my girl Fantasia has finally got her GED I'm so proud of her. Andrew High School in NC gave her an honorary degree last weekend after she got her GED. So that she could officially walk across the stage. I think that was very sweet and nice of them. I'm happy she finished. She is making money and has fame she could have easily said fuck this shit, but she is showing people all over the world you can do this no matter what.Congrats Fanny

The Game is BACK 4 real this time

So its official according to BET.com and other cast members on their twitter accounts The Game is back. I'm so excited I hope everyone has got caught up with all of the reruns on BET I know I have. I'm jogging thru my mind and I can't think of any other "Black" show with an all black cast that is on right now. So this will be a major step up for Black Hollywood. I think they are going to come out swinging with special guest stars and the whole nine yard. This show has gained a whole new fan base just from the reruns on BET. Man this is so good cause that whole male cast can get it talking about some sexy men lol and they had them all in their under ware and stuff great day for the black gays as well. We have to make sure we support them and watch this show, let's give them the rating they deserve. I have to have a Game premiere party lol. Not sure when they will go back into production but like that said its on.

Obama: gay partners should have hospital access

WASHINGTON – Hospitals that accept Medicare and Medicaid payments must let patients choose which persons, including gay and lesbian partners, can visit them and help make critical health decisions, President Barack Obama said Thursday.

Gay rights advocates hailed the move as a major step toward fairness for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans.

"This is a critical step in ending discrimination against LGBT families and ensuring that, in the event of a hospital stay, all Americans have the right to see their loved ones," said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

With no fanfare, the White House on Thursday night released a statement by Obama instructing the Health and Human Services Department to draft rules requiring federally subsidized hospitals to grant all patients the right to designate people who can visit and consult with them at crucial moments.

The designated visitors should have the same rights that immediate family members now enjoy, Obama's instructions said. It said Medicare-Medicaid hospitals, which include most of the nation's facilities, may not deny visitation and consultation privileges on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability.

The new rules, Obama said, should "guarantee that all patients' advance directives, such as durable powers of attorney and health care proxies, are respected," and that patients' designees be able to "make informed decisions regarding patients' care."

Some gay advocacy groups say Obama has moved too slowly to fulfill campaign promises to expand their civil rights. The nation's top military leaders recently said it is time to end the "don't ask, don't tell" policy that has kept gays from serving openly in the armed services.

The Human Rights Campaign, which backs gay rights, said Obama's hospital decision was inspired in part by a New York Times article about a lesbian couple in Miami. They were kept apart while one lay dying in a hospital despite having an "advanced health care directive" asking for full visitation rights for each other.

"Discrimination touches every facet of the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, including at times of crisis and illness," said HRC President Joe Solmonese. "The president's action today will help ensure that the indignities" suffered by the Miami patient and her children will not happen to others.

In his statement, Obama said: "Every day, all across America, patients are denied the kindnesses and caring of a loved one at their sides — whether in a sudden medical emergency or a prolonged hospital stay. Often, a widow or widower with no children is denied the support and comfort of a good friend."

He added: "Also uniquely affected are gay and lesbian Americans who are often barred from the bedsides of the partners with whom they may have spent decades of their lives — unable to be there for the person they love, and unable to act as a legal surrogate if their partner is incapacitated."

Without the expanded visitor-designation rights, Obama said, "all too often, people are made to suffer or even to pass away alone, denied the comfort of companionship in their final moments while a loved one is left worrying and pacing down the hall."

My crash diet Week 2

Ok Week 2 was really really hard for me. I went to a basketball game with some friends and there was nothing there for me too eat, but OMG there was so many things that I wanted to eat nachos,burgers, fries. You name it and it was there so while all my friends got all that stuff the only thing I could get was some damn peanuts and a bottle of water that cost me $8.00. Then after going to the bathroom I found these honey roasted peacans that I love so much that has nothing but sugar on them. So feeling so restricted I got the pecans and then the next day I went to the Waffle House and got some waffles that I had been craving and OMG it was so so good. So I thought that week was gonna be such a bust but I ended up knocking off 8 pounds so I was happy about that 18 pounds in 2weeks. I was feeling good about the 18 ponds until I went and took mt drivers licences pictures today and I saw how fat my face was and got a little sad, but the fight must go on hopefully this week will be better.

RIP Dixir Carter

Dixie Carter the star of Designing Women died Saturday morning. The Family have not released where or the cause of death Dixie was 70 years of age. Man this really saddens me I loved me some Julia Sugarbaker on Designing Women. I had no idea that she was that old. The last time I remember seeing her was on Desperate Housewives. Julia use to read the kids for filth lol. RIP Dixie who well always be Julia Sugarbaker to me.

Tyler Perry on Oprah

(If you have not seen Why did I get married too Stop spoiler alert)Okay I know I'm really behind on this show, but I DVR everything and watch it when I can. So that's my excuse for this late comment. Today I watched Oprah with Janet Jackson and Tyler Perry and Oprah asked him a question " How can you write for women so well?" and then says my Mother. Chile please that ain't why U write so well for women I think Mr Perry is gay, and trust me that's nobody concerns but his own.
Its funny because just a few days ago me and a good friend of mine was talking about this very same thing and I broke it down why I think Tyler is gay or bi.
Tyler character in both WDIGM movies is the only male to play the victim by his wife man please stop acting like a little bitch. In part 2 Tyler character Terry recalls dates, times and all kind of stuff from the past about Diana's activities. I'm sorry ain't no straight man that intuitive to recall all of that. That my friend is the trait of a woman not a man.
Then in all of his movies and plays he has the finest men nice body, good looking the whole package, and if he does have a man that his fat or something they are playing a comic character like Mr Brown or something. Gay men love beat glamours divas and guess what thats all Tyler has in his movies, and now I read a article about Tyler, saying he does not think being in a relationship is for him because he is to busy and he has homes all over the place now, please I think he only said that because we ain't gonna see him with any woman and that's his excuse why. No its not its because your gay Tyler you have been in the limelight for years and we have never seen you with a woman. I don't care how a man was raised when he comes into fame and money like Tyler did he gone fuck around and when he does have a date she looks like some paid skinny trophy date model. I'm just sitting back and waiting for this too all come to light. If he is gay I can understand why he does not share that if he himself has already came to terms with it, but as a gay man myself it sickens me when someone who is gay denies it.

My crash diet Week 1

Okay so today was the weigh in for my crash diet. I have 6 weeks to try and drop as many pounds as I can. I set a very high and crazy goal of 48 pounds in 6 weeks, and today the scale told me I lost 10 big ones!!!!! I was so so excited and thrilled and now I'm going into week 2 and its getting a little harder, but I'm going to stay strong and keep it up.
I still have not made a decision about the Houston trip or My Lil brothers graduation, I think I will make a decision in 4 weeks when I see what this body is looking like. Ive been waiting to see this man again for an whole year and I just don't want him to see me all fat lol. So in 4 weeks if it does not look like I will be tight and right. Off to the graduation I go and I will try and plan a trip to DC later this summer.

Badu gets FINED

The Dallas police department has formally charged Ms Badu. They have slapped Ms. Badu with a disorderly conduct charge and a citation will be issued.
I must say even has a fan of Badu and this new album I think its only fair she is fined. I myself thought the video was a little bit too much, and you know Im wayyy out there lol. I think that same video could have been achieved in a studio green room or even in a somewhat less busy area of the city where there are no kids walking around looking @ a grown woman's Kat. If I was a parent or even had my niece or nephew with me I think I would be upset. If it was just me or some friends I would have no problem with it.
Parents are the ones who get to decided what their children will be exposed to. No one should make that decision for you no matter what kind of message you are trying to spread. .I'm so very thankful that's all they are trying to do with Ms Badu is a fine. You know they can be real ugly when it comes too our people or things they don't understand.
I still say go get this CD I love it and I think she is a great artist that just maybe bad a wrong choice after all she is only human.

My My My is it just me, or is it every time Janet makes an appearance she looks smaller. The one thing I can say about Janet is when she is ready to drop that weight the girl will do it. Her and Malik Yoba stopped by BET's 106 and Park to promote their new movie "Why did I get married Too"
Speaking of this movie I just saw it today and I loved it! Janet is becoming a better actress with each project. Everyone held their own in this movie I laughed, I cried I did it all. The one thing I would love to happen is for Tyler Perry to come out of the closet lol, but for real this is a must see movie you can't see part 1 and not see this one.

Jennifer Hudson becomes the new spokes person for Weight Watchers. My girl has been looking Oh so good lately. I have always thought she was a pretty girl with a nice healthy curvy shape, but she is slimming down and looking even better.
I'm so happy for her she has had it rough these past couple of years and she has really been looking happy these days. I wish her nothing but the best and can't wait till the next CD.

My process

Okay you guys Im on day 3 of my crash diet and I have been doing very well, but right about now I would love to pig out on something, but I want. I have to much going on and not enough time to do it. The only thing I wish I would have done more is work out more. I'm going to weigh in on Sunday and will give you guys my results hope Im not pissed.I hope to shed anywhere from 8-11 pounds for the 1st week cross your fingers.

SWV is back

SWV took some new pics with Derek Blanks and I love them. Damn photoshop is a bad muthafucka lol. I saw the girls on Mo'Nique and they looked nothing like this, but they did look healthy and happy and that is really all that matters. CoKo confirmed on her blog that the ladies are back in the studio to record a new album no time or date was given, but I will be looking forward to it.
Back in the day these ladies were the old school generation Destiny Child with such hits like "Right here", "Anytime", "Im so into you", and my all time favorite "Weak". Man someone needs to have an 90's old school concert I will be right there.

My girl goes to Essence

Essence announced this morning that Janet Jackson will be headlining live one of the days during the 2010 Essence Music Festival
. It will be her first time at the Fest and her first full concert
since 2008.
Man I have to try and get to this Janet will be there and I have never seen her perform live. I can not let this go by without atleast trying to get there. I have to hurry and get me a damn job.

Damn so after gettting on a high for my major weight lost program to go see my D.C. boo in Houston in May. I found out my little brother will be graduating from college that very same weekend damn, damn, damn. I feel so bad that I have to try and think about what I'm going to do. This is what I'm thinking the graduation is Saturday I'm hoping it will be early in the morning and then I can head to Houston from Jackson, Ms, but just thinking about it makes me so tired. WHY LAWD, WHY.
Either way I'm still going to do my crash diet because I don't want that side of the family to see me all fat and shit. I will keep you all posted.

In the past year I have put on so much weight I'm not even sure how much I weigh now. I'm to afraid to even get on a scale. My weight is the cause of my depression and feeling sorry for myself. I just eat, eat and eat some more to make myself feel better. For the past 6 years me and my friend always go to Houston TX pride "Splash" so last year I said this was going to be my last year. That was when I first started gaining weight and plus I was getting older and I felt like the crowds were getting younger. I so was not into the whole scene of things last year, but while I was there I meet this young man that lives in D.C. and we have stayed in touch ever since then. Well I was talking to him today and he told me he was going to Splash again and yall know I have to go see him. I have not seen him in over a year and DC is not around the corner. Plus with my finiacil situation a trip to DC in not in the budget so I can not pass this up, but there is just 1 problem Im fat as hell now lol Im noramly 160-165 but now Im gonna guess Im like 215 maybe a lil more. So you know what this means crash diet is coming on I have to lose as much weight as I can by then. Im going for atleast 48 pounds and I have 6 weeks. I know that's what I said but come along with me on this ride and see what happens. I will start on Monday and I will weigh in on Monday as well. So pray for me cause I'm gonna need it and if anyone has any tips for me please let me know.

There is so much on mind. I don't even know who I'am anymore. I look in the mirror and I don't even reconize the person looking back at me. Who is this man standing before me his eyes are dead and show a sad person. I have left life defeat me and I'm so ashamed. I have so many dreams but too afraid to go after them.Day after day I say Monday I'm going to make a change, but I'm to tired and lazy to fight for that change. I'm so not the same person I was a year ago. I hide from all my friends and loves ones to afraid that they will see this person I have become. Its gotten so bad I don't want to go outside.Sometimes I'm happy the job market is fucked up and I can't keep a job. That way I want have to face other people and connect with the world. I wanted to give up on my blog because I feel like its all in vain just like I have given up on myself, but I'm not going to do it even if I don't ever get anyone to follow my blog I want give up and I'm going to write what I'm feeling and when I do come out of this depression or whole that I'm in. I can look back and see how far Ive come.

Dancing with the Stars 2010

Dancing with the stars is back and the 1st episode will appear on this Monday 22ND 2010. This year they have a great cast and I can't wait to see what type of drama will happen this year espically with Ms Shannon Doherty you know drama follows her wherever she goes.
I see Kate from Jon and Kate plus 8 is back ugh I don't like this woman she was awful to her husband Jon and I do not feel sorry for her not 1 little bit. I remember when I use to watch that show in the early years I told my friend he was going to leave that woman if she keeps treating him this way 2 or 3 years later he left. Her 15min of fame is over with so she had to go and try and grab it somewhere else I'm so over Kate I hope they vote her off fast. Oh and another thang a reality TV person does not make you a star or celebrity.

The weekend begins

TGIF here comes another weekend. I think I will take it slow this weekend and chill @ the house, and work on my new blog I have yet to learn how to upload videos lol. So I think that will be my task for the weekend. There is also a lot of movies I would love to catch up on "Our Family Wedding, Shutter Island, Bounty Hunter and some other's so we shall see. I also have been catching up on old movies I join Blockbuster online so I've been looking at some older movies. Maybe I will write a review about those movies I have seen. TTYL

Jesse James which is Oscar winners Sandra Bullock's husband has released an apology to his wife and kids for "the rumors" that have been spread about him stepping out on Sandra. I have read he has not denied or admitted to any wrong doing, but I'm thinking what the hell are you apologizing for then.

Its reported that over 72,000 bottles have been moved this is really impressive. I'm so happy for her. However the Queen of celebrity fragrance is none other than Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds with over 67 million for just last year damn just think how much she has made since white diamonds have came out this lady is loaded. Beyonce is off to a great start and could catch up with Ms Taylor one of these days. I have not had a chance to smell Heat yet, but I must make my way down to a Macy's real soon to smell Beyonce sweet success. I had read somewhere Ashanti had a fragrance out and it was being sold @ the .99 cent store I wonder how much she ranked lol. Let me stop lol. The start of something

Ok it's 3:16am on Friday Morning, and everyone is always telling me I need a TV show or a blog. So here I'am about to start one. On this blog I will talk about all the things I love food, fashion, family, friends, movies, reality tv, music and so much more. This is a learning process for me so work with me people lol.
